MICHELLE LONG

Michelle Long has been a Personal Trainer for 10 years. She worked with Goodlife Fitness, was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Women’s Varsity StFX Basketball team, and trained various clients as a Freelance Trainer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with entrance scholarship, and is a Firefighter and Medical First Responder. She is a registered Kinesiologist with practical experience in a health clinic, with specialization in rehabilitation therapy. She has experience working alongside Olympic athletes in the Sport of Bobsleigh. Her motto is to train smarter not harder. KELSEY MACDONALD

Kelsey has 9 years combined education and professional experience in the health and fitness industry. Her nutrition education at St.FX in 2015 inspired her to pursue her personal trainer certification through canfitpro. After working with GoodLife fitness as a trainer for over 2 years she made the decision to return to school for her human kinetics education. Since then she has gained further experience in a rehabilitative setting alongside some of Halifax’s top sports physiotherapists.
Kelsey is passionate about helping people improve their outlook on nutrition and fitness while achieving their weight loss and performance goals.

KATI LATOROVSZKI

Kati has been involved in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She’s always had a passion for being active and helping others starting at a young age. She started her carreer as a nurse first and pursued her love for fitness as a coach later.

Kati competes Nationally and Internationally as a Master Bikini competitor. Her motto is: nothing is impossible, if you have the will you have the way. DEREK MACDONALD

Derek MacDonald comes to us from Cape Breton with 8 years of personal training experience. His wealth of knowledge expands beyond the gym, having worked within the healthcare sector for over 10 years as a Physical Rehab Assistant. Derek’s love for fitness is more than a career, it’s a lifestyle. Having competed in 13 bodybuilding shows, Derek has placed 1st to 4th amongst the Classic and Bodybuilding divisions and has won the Middle Weight division 3 times. As his passion for bodybuilding is strong, he has years of experience working with clients with a variety of goals and needs. ERIC TITUS

Eric has been a Personal Trainer for 7 years since completing his Bachelors Degree in kinesiology from Acadia University in 2011. Before that, he had a long amateur athletics career playing both competitive hockey and soccer. He also spent several years as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Army Reserves. Eric now enjoys pushing himself during his workouts in the gym as well as playing pickup hockey, coaching minor hockey, and being active outdoors with hiking, paddling, or golfing.

When training his clients, Eric specializes working with people of all ages and physical abilities including those who wish to build endurance, muscle and strength, lose weight, rehabilitate current or past injuries, increase their mobility or address dysfunction in movement patterns using fun, personalized exercises.

ETHAN TUCKER

Ethan has been involved in sports and training from a very young age. As a multisport athlete, he excelled at basketball, football and track & field but his true passion was the training required to achieve success in those endeavours. He received an entrance scholarship to attend St. FX for a BSc in Health and has subsequently transitioned to the Kinesiology Program at Dalhousie University. Over the years of his fitness career, he has always strived to continually learn amount about nutrition, lifestyle, flexibility, cardiovascular training, and especially resistance training. Ethan enjoys sharing the knowledge he has acquired with clients at all levels of their fitness path, so whether your focus is to lose weight, build some serious muscle, enhance your performance, or anything in between, he looks forward to the opportunity to help you achieve your goals!

KELLY JOHNSON

Kelly has been working in the fitness and health industry for over 20 years. Her background in both sport and dance gives her a unique perspective on the human body. With an Honours Degree in Kinesiology from York University and as a Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, and a Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Kelly believes that there is a strong connection between diet, stress, sleep, hydration, and performance.  She has had the opportunity to work with a wide spectrum of individuals ranging from Olympic and Professional Athletes to Pre and Post- natal Women. Her holistic approach to fitness and her intuitive nature allows her to adjust and cater her teaching style to her client’s individual needs and goals. Kelly’s strong roots in anatomy allow her to teach students to work within safe physical limits while encouraging them to challenge themselves.
