Michelle Long has been a Personal Trainer for 10 years. She worked with Goodlife Fitness, was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Women’s Varsity StFX Basketball team, and trained various clients as a Freelance Trainer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with entrance scholarship, and is a Firefighter and Medical First Responder. She is a registered Kinesiologist with practical experience in a health clinic, with specialization in rehabilitation therapy. Amanda has been in the fitness industry for fifteen years as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She is incredibly passionate about Athletic style training. Amanda combines the best of HIIT (High intensity interval training) and boot camp fitness to help her clients achieve their best results.
In her fifteen years of athletic training, she has amassed multiple qualifications, such as: Certified CanFitPro personal training specialist, TRX Team Training Certification, Queenax functional training, World Class group fitness certifications, and has completed numerous sports related conditioning certifications.
Amanda realized her passion for sports at a young age. As a soccer goalkeeper for various clubs in the Valley and HRM, she fueled her competitive fire. Through competition, she adopted a motto: Out hustle, Out work, Out think, and Out play.

Chelsee is a fun-loving, high energy trainer. Equipped with a Kinesiology degree from Acadia and bolstered by a background in Nutrition, Chelsee is a wealth of knowledge.
Chelsee is a CSEP-Certified Personal Trainer and is working on furthering her qualifications by earning her Exercise Physiologist Certification. This eagerness to grow in the fitness industry is exactly what she’s hoping to offer our members & her future clients!

From her time interning under Acadia’s head Strength & Conditioning coach working with student varsity athletes including being the senior strength coach to the men’s and women’s varsity soccer teams, to her expertise in working with older adults and specializing in chronic conditions and cardiac rehab.

Ali is a CanFitPro certified personal trainer with 4 years experience under his belt. TRX R4 team training specialist with a passion for functional and suspension training. Being a soccer player and a competitive athlete his entire life, Ali really believes that with team work and hard work, any set goals can be accomplished together. DTS Kettlebell foundations and Queenax functional training are also part of the many certs he has developed over the years with Precision Nutrition in progress at the moment.
With the variety of different certifications, Ali has trained clients ranging from 13-50+ years of age, with different individual goal settings which include muscle gain, weight loss, sports and athletic training, bootcamps and post injury.
Miguel deMello began his journey in fitness 10 years ago to supplement his heavy involvement in competitive sports. In 2014, He suffered a spinal disk injury that left him in a state of chronic pain and unable to train or do the things he loved. He began to research the fundamentals of human movement and started on a journey that would greatly evolve his philosophies around movement and fitness.
Miguel takes a “move well first” approach to fitness under the idea that movement quality beats quantity, understanding that fitness is a lifetime journey and the process is just as important as the goal. He has now been training clients under individual design methods for 3 years, and continually looks to evolve his practice, while educating clients alongside their programming.
Miguel holds a kinesiology degree from Dalhousie University, graduating in the top 5% of his class, while also being a lead athletic trainer for the King’s College men’s soccer team, and women’s basketball team. He has spent the last 3 years in Portugal as a functional movement specialist, building a rehabilitation/wellness clinic alongside chiropractors, becoming a certified OPEX Fitness Coach, and FMS practitioner.

Athletic Accomplishments / Experiences:
After spending 6 years in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer, Tyler has turned to his passion for fitness. Equipped with a Canfitpro Certification as a Personal Training Specialist, and a certification through SGT. Ken’s Bootcamp Instructor course, he is eager to work with a wide range of clients looking to achieve their fitness and lifestyle goals. With a strong background in athletic development as a hockey player, Tyler has worked with many athletes and trainers. Through this experience he has gained significant knowledge in progressing and maintaining a healthy, strong, and functional body. While working as a Correctional Officer, he assisted in a program that offered both fitness and lifestyle coaching to offenders. The offenders enrolled in this program were offered group cardio, and strength training classes along with individualized programming. Since then he has been steadily training toward his own goals and is ready and able to meet and exceed yours.
Cathy has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years as a personal trainer, pilates, and yoga instructor. Cathy is working towards her 500hr teacher training with Therapeutic Yoga Studio (Tays). She has completed Core, Opening, as well as Restorative Yoga/Yin Yoga Course and Pregnancy Yoga with Tays. Cathy is currently taking a 6 week online course called “The Art of Assisting” with Janet Stone Yoga. With years of experience in the fitness industry Cathy was a level 3 trainer working for GoodLife and used her yoga and pilates skills to ensure clients had safe and effective workouts and learned to be more body aware. Cathy enjoys working with clients of all ages and the assessment process allowing her to provide clients with homework opportunities to improve their fitness. Developing relationships with clients’ to build trust, empowerment, and personal growth is important to her when coaching, teaching, and being a leader in the fitness industry.
